Newbold School has 80 children on role, aged between 3 and 11 years, accommodated in 5 classes.
The school is small enough for all children to be known personally, not only by their own teacher but also by all the other members of staff.
National Curriculum Subjects.
Great emphasis is placed on the development of those skills included in National Curriculum subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Information & Communication Technology, Design & Technology, History, Geography, P.S.H.E, Music and P.E.
Religious Education.
The children become familiar with Bible principles and are encouraged to see in the life of Jesus the expression of God's love for them.
P.E. and Games.
All children take part in regular P.E. and Games lessons. Formal games including cricket, football, netball, hockey and rounders begin in Year 3. Since the school is small, competitive sport with other schools is infrequent.
Swimming lessons are available to all children from the ages of 4 to 11 years during either the Autumn or Spring terms.
