Extra Curricular Activities

Music

Music plays an important part in the life of the school. Tuition in recorder begins in Year 3 for all children. Older children have the opportunity to develop their skills with the treble recorder.

Children from Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 form the Newbold School Choir. The school choir sings at school fuFlutenctions and occasionally at church services.

In September 2008 the Newbold School Ensemble was formed. Members of the Ensemble meet after school to practice. This talented group performs at school functions and occasionally in church.

Newbold School also offers the chance, from Year 2, to learn flute and violin.

 

 

 

Speech

A qualified tutor gives group and individual elocution lessons and pupils may be entered for London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art examinations in Speech.

Football Club

The club meets after school in Newbold College playing fields and in the Gym.

Art and Craft Club

An Art & Craft Club is offered after school for Key Stage 2 children. Children experience a variety of craft activities including papier mache, still life drawing, paper craft, clay modelling, plaster casting and textile collage.

 

 

Keep Fit Club

Keep fit club is greatly enjoyed by all members. They have terrific fun whilst exercising and keeping fit.
